This policy explains how Lorraine Jenks (“we”) collects and uses personal information through lorrainejenks.com, in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect
When you send a booking enquiry we collect your name, organisation, email address and the event details you choose to share, such as the date, format, talk, budget range and audience. If you contact us on WhatsApp or by email, we receive the details you send.
Why we use it
Only to reply to your enquiry, discuss and arrange a speaking engagement, and keep a record of that conversation. We do not sell your information, add you to a mailing list without asking, or use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
The enquiry form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics receives anonymous usage data about your visit. Videos are hosted by YouTube and only load when you press play, at which point YouTube’s own privacy policy applies. Our email provider stores the messages we receive. Some of these services may store data outside South Africa, with safeguards in place.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising cookies. If you choose “Accept”, Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits and see which pages are useful. If you choose “Essential only”, Analytics does not load. Your cookie choice is remembered in your own browser. If you play a video, YouTube may set its own cookies. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to arrange and deliver an event, and for up to three years afterwards for our records, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email bookings@lorrainejenks.com. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections to this site and to our form and email providers.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
